This week marks 29 years since I launched Wisnik Career Enterprises, Inc.
It’s been an amazing journey, and I am deeply grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had to work with 125 law firms and more than 10,000 Recruiting, Marketing/BD, HR, PD, Practice Management professionals and attorneys!
I would like to share a few lessons I’ve learned:
1. Nurture your relationships. One of the most rewarding parts of my career is that many of my clients have become close friends. Life is GOOD when you love the people you work with! I have witnessed dozens of firms disappear over the past 29 years and survived 3 major recessions. The greatest job security you can ever have is in the trusted relationships you build and maintain.
2. Don’t become a dinosaur. If you’re not learning and growing, you will become obsolete. The top talent we place all have a growth mindset. In my own life, I spend thousands of dollars each year taking online classes, attending conferences, and working with coaches in areas I want to grow in. Investing in expanding your skills and knowledge will insure you are relevant and marketable.
3. To lead a truly successful life you must focus on serving others. What I learned most on this journey is that focusing on what I can contribute is what makes life deeply rewarding and fulfilling. Our firm’s motto from day one has been “Our goal is to help you achieve your goals” and it still drives me every day.
I am very fortunate to have found work and clients I love serving! Thank you for your trust, I am deeply grateful and hope we can work together soon!
